Fully Convinced

He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform. And therefore “it was accounted to him for righteousness.”
(Romans 4:20-22 NKJV)

Not wavering at the promise of God is the key, isn’t it? When we refuse to waver because we are convinced that the power God is up to His promises and that His character is integral then we are strengthened in our faith. In that strength we glorify God. This is the process that promises that we will all appear before God going from strength to strength; from glory to glory. And that is just the warm up.

This conviction is the conduit that the Lord uses to impart His righteousness to us! Growing strength in the faith is just a benefit of being assured that heaven is ours. Verse 23 proclaims that this passage doesn’t apply to Abraham alone but to us who are also fully convinced that He died for us and raised from the dead for our relief from sin. It is our only justification.
